Last Thursday we visited 37D, an art gallery here in Lusaka for a solo exhibition by Stary Mwaba, hosted by the stART Foundation.
This was his first solo exhibition since his year away at the KFW – Stiftung Residency in Berlin.
We had seen work by this talented artist before, but never in a solo exhibition, but, finally the wait was over and we got to witness Stary’s new works, which have evolved “incorporating an urban, edgy Berlin-esque nuance” – the eye-catching invite said.
To read more about him, and his interesting background, click here. To experience his art with us, see below.
That said, enjoy!
Kii: Thrifted Zara blouse | Thrifted crop pants | MRP Sneakers
Kahyi: MRP Sheer shirt-dress | Joyce Mushili wide leg trousers | Fashion Express Sandals | Wayawaya pouch
“Berlin, the greatest cultural extravaganza that one could imagine.”
